Dr. Rajiv Sethi is senior consultant & interventional cardiologist currently practising at Aditya Birla Hospital & is attached to other five reputed hospitals. Dr. Sethi is also President at the prestigious Cardiological Society of India (Pune chapter). Dr. Sethi had an impeccable academic record and currently has over 25 years of experience in the field of clinical & interventional cardiology.
Dr. Rajiv Sethi started his graduation after completing his higher secondary education where he stood 21st in the Maharashtra state. By the end of the year 1989, Dr. Sethi had completed his MBBS from the widely popular B.J. Medical College, during which he had received the honour of receiving the Dr. Khare prize for standing second in the University of Pune, Maharashtra. He also received multiple scholarships in each year of his MBBS graduation. In the later years, he received twin degrees in each of the fields of medicine & cardiology. First he completed his M.D. from University of Pune at B.J. Medical College in the year 1993 & afterwards became DNB (Diplomate of National Board) in New Delhi in December 1993. During the time he had bagged major awards such as Best Poster Award, Best Research Paper Award & the Hari Malini Gold Medal.
In the later years, Dr. Sethi continued his extraordinary academic career by earning D.M. & D.N.B in the field of cardiology from LTM General Hospital, New Delhi & LTM General Hospital, Mumbai respectively. He was also awarded the prestigious B. P. Basu award by Cardiological Society of India in the year 1996 in national level conference at Bangalore.

Dr. Sethi was a resident intern for 1 year at B.J. Medical College & Sassoon General Hospital. He was a resident in general medicine for 3 years at Sassoon Hospital, Pune, after which he also got teaching experience in cardiology at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College & General Hospital in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
He did his super-specialisation & extensive training at the world renowned St. Vincent’s & Mercy Hospital, Melbourne, Australia; becoming Fellow in Cardiac Interventions at the great hospital. The hospital that is pioneer in the use of newer devices has gained worldwide fame due to its research. Dr. Sethi got his training in the use of intravascular ultrasound, RADI pressure wire, rotablation, vascular closure & distal protection devices. Also he received extensive training in transradial angiography & angioplasty, device closure of ASD & VSD along with permanent pacemaker implantation. The hospital having very busy interventional radiology setup provided Dr. Sethi training in peripheral vascular diagnostic angiograms & interventions, carotid angioplasty & stenting, lower & upper limb angioplasty and renel angioplasty.
He also became International Fellow of European Society of Cardiology (FESC) & Fellow of Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions (FSCAI).
Dr. Sethi has a remarkable career & has vast experience of more than 25 years in the field. Being very well equipped with knowledge & extensive training; he has handled thousands of cases and has operated patients with complexities. He has been practising at premier hospitals such as Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital, AIMS Hospital & Sterling Multi-speciality Hospital and is appointed as President of Cardiological Society of India (CSI, Pune Chapter)
Along with good academics, Dr. Sethi was active in researching along with his peers & published a great number of papers/abstracts and has presented many presentations at different occasions.
